Constituent Comment Letters & Postcards

Constituent Comment Letters

We have two Constituent Comment Form Letters to choose from.  Find them on New Community here.

First choice to use is the one that expresses specific support for the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.  As of 4/10/19 in District 2, our Representative Mark Pocan is not yet a co-sponsor.  So we would choose the form that requests that our representative co-sponsor the bill.

If people are not quite ready to do that letter - then another good choice is the General CCL Constituent Comment Letter.

Postcards

Our focus at this time has been to use the Constituent Comment Letters.  That said there may be situations where postcards would be useful.  We usually collect these for hand delivery.  For more information and postcards contact Linda Farmer
Some things to keep in mind when using the postcards
  • It is important to check that both sides have been filled out
  • Usually only the name of the congressperson is needed for the address because we collect these for hand delivery or to send them together with a letter.
  • These do require people to express their support for Carbon Fee and Dividend.  Some people may not know enough to do this yet. In this case the Constituent Comment Letter is something they could do instead.
